GUERNSEY COUNTY, Ohio – The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that detectives are investigating a stabbing that occurred Monday evening on Beal Road in Kimbolton.
Sheriff Jeffrey D. Paden said deputies were dispatched to the residence at approximately 8:44 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 1. When they arrived, they found a 54-year-old man outside the home suffering from a stab wound to his leg. His injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Deputies took a 36-year-old woman into custody at the scene after learning she had allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife. According to investigators, she later allegedly bragged about the incident to another occupant of the residence.
Sheriff’s detectives were called in to gather evidence and conduct further investigation. The woman remains in custody at the Guernsey County Jail as detectives continue their work. Charges are pending. As of Wednesday afternoon, authorities have not released the woman’s name.
