COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio – The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a Columbiana County woman was killed in a weekend crash on State Route 558 in Unity Township.
The accident happened around 2:50 p.m. Saturday when a semi-truck hauling an excavator went left of center and overturned, striking a 2022 Jeep Renegade.
A passenger in the Jeep, Rebecca Myers, 79, of Lisbon, died at the scene, according to troopers.
Both lanes of State Route 558 were closed for a time as crews responded and investigators worked to determine what caused the crash. The collision remains under investigation.
