ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio – No suspect has yet been identified in the threat made at St. Clairsville Schools back on Sept. 9, St. Clairsville Police Chief Matt Arbenz told River News on Thursday.
The situation was considered an active threat and prompted the evacuation of both St. Clairsville High School and Middle School.
Arbenz says the St. Clairsville School Resource Officer says someone wrote a threat on the wall in a girls’ restroom. Authorities reviewed surveillance camera footage which showed hundreds of girls entering and exiting the restroom in the time span before the threat was discovered, but no specific person was singled out for the written threat.
Authorities have not identified a suspect and the investigation has reached an impasse, Arbenz said. Police are still seeking information and encourage anyone with knowledge of the situation to come forward.
