HARRISON COUNTY, Ohio – The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office released its most recent call log which included a call to Harrison Hills High School resulting in the arrest of John E. Heinzman for pandering obscenity involving a minor and voyeurism charges.

9/29/25 @1538 hrs. deputies responded to the High School to investigate an alleged sex offense that occurred in Cadiz Twp. Information was gathered for a report and an investigation is pending. As a result of the investigation, on 9/30/2025 John E. Heinzman was arrested on pandering obscenity involving a minor and voyeurism charges.
9/29/2025 @ 2246 hrs. a deputy, while on routine patrol, made contact with a suspicious vehicle at the Tappan Lake Rest area. Information was gathered for a report.
9/30/2025 @ 0720 hrs. deputies responded to a Blue Ridge Rd. address for a domestic dispute. Information was gathered for a report and the parties were separated.
9/30/2025 @ 1408 hrs. a deputy spoke to a Hopedale resident regarding an abandoned vehicle. Information was gathered for a report.
9/30/2025 @ 1549 hrs. A deputy responded to a car fire on Old Hopedale Road. Information was gathered for a report.
10/01/2025 @ 1050 hrs. a deputy was called to the courthouse for a reported of a subject violating terms of their bond. Destin C. Beck was taken into custody for a bond violation.
10/01/2025 @ 1109 hrs. a subject came to the Sheriff’s Office to document a ongoing family dispute. Information was gathered for a report.

10/01/2025 @ 1948 hrs. Kenneth Cameron was cited for operating on former owner’s tags, improper display, and driving under a habitual alcoholic suspension by a Deputy out of a traffic stop on Main Street in Freeport.
10/01/2025 @ 2032 hrs. deputies were dispatched to a Lockman Rd address for an individual believed to be suffering a mental health crisis. Deputies arrived and requested EMS to the scene. The individual was then transported to the hospital for a mental health evaluation.
10/01/2025 @ 2116 hrs. a deputy responded to a Bower Road address for a 911 hang-up call. Everything was ok, a child had the phone.
10/01/2025 @ 2350 hrs. Danielle Irwin and Jacob Irwin were cited for no operator’s license, driving under suspension, stop sign, and willful wanton disregard of safety by a Deputy out of a traffic stop in Jewett.
10/2/2025 @ 0651 hrs. a deputy responded to a Kinsey Orchard Rd. address for a residential burglary alarm. Everything appeared o.k. and in order at the time.
10/02/2025 @ 0859 hrs. deputies responded to an E. Main St. Jewett address for a neighbor complaint. Information was gathered for a report.
10/02/2025 @ 1216 hrs. deputies responded to a Jewett Hopedale Rd. residence for a domestic dispute. One part left the residence prior to deputies arriving. Information was gathered for a report.
10/02/2025 @ 1937 hrs. a deputy assisted Cadiz Police with a dispute on Industrial Park Rd. Cadiz Police is handling the incident.
10/02/2025 @ 2217 hrs. deputies were dispatched to a Jewett Hopedale Rd address for an assault. One individual left prior to deputies arrival and drove to the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies collected statements from the residence along with the other individual involved at the Sheriff’s Office. There were conflicting stories to the incident so parties were separated with a report sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for review on charges.
10/2/2025 @ 2234 hrs. a deputy responded to a Church St address in Hopedale for a subject threatening to harm themself. The subject was transported to the hospital for an evaluation.
10/3/2025 @ 1156 hrs. a School Resource Officer was informed that a student may be in possession of marijuana. The student was identified and the marijuana located. Information was gathered for a report.
10/03/2025 @ 1352 hrs. a deputy & EMS responded to a Briar Rd. residence in reference to a deceased subject. Information was gathered for a report and no foul play is suspected.
10/03/2025 @ 1852 hrs. deputies responded to an assault complaint at a Boyce Drive Bowerston location. Information was gathered for a report.
10/3/2025 @ 2237 hrs. a deputy responded to a single vehicle crash on Freeport Tippecanoe Rd. Information was gathered for a report.
10/4/2025 @ 2349 hrs. A deputy conducted a welfare check on a subject at a Scio Carrollton Rd. address. Contact with the subject in question was made and they were found to be ok.
10/04/2025 @ 0009 hrs. deputies assisted Cadiz Police with a domestic dispute on East Market Street. Upon arrival the dispute was determined to be all verbal with parties being separated. Cadiz Police is handling the incident.
10/04/2025 @ 0608 hrs. Joshua Lloyd was cited for speeding by a deputy out of a traffic stop on Cadiz Dennison Rd.
10/4/2025 @ 1047 hrs. a deputy responded to Lockman Rd in Rumley Twp. to conduct a welfare check. The person was located and found to be ok.
10/4/2025 @ 1123 hrs. a deputy spoke to a Hopedale resident regarding personal property left at a residence. Information was gathered for a report.
10/04/2025 @ 1632 hrs. a deputy was dispatched to Cadiz Street (Jewett) for a private property accident in a field. Information was obtained for a report.
10/04/25 @ 1721 hrs. deputies responded to a report of an individual shot in North Twp (Scio Bowerston Rd). The individual was taking themself to the hospital. A deputy responded to the hospital to meet the individual, with another deputy responding to the incident location. Upon arrival and further investigation, the incident was determined to be an accidental. Information was gathered for a report.
10/4/2025 @ 2245 hrs. deputies responded to a Maple St address in Scio for a suspicious/intoxicated subject on the property. Joshua D. Smith was issued citations, released from the scene with his vehicle towed.
10/4/2025 @2333 hrs. A deputy responded to a one vehicle accident on Gundy Ridge Rd. Information was gathered for a report.
10/5/2025 @ 1420 hrs. deputies responded to a burglar alarm at a business in the Village of Scio. After checking the building, the alarm was found to be false.
10/5/2025 @ 1433 hrs. deputies were dispatched to a W. Main St. Scio address for a possible domestic dispute. After an investigation, David Huffine & Timothy McDonald were both cited for disorderly conduct.
10/05/2025 @ 2033 hrs. a deputy took a report of a verbal altercation that took place on S.R. 258 earlier in the day.
10/6/2025 @ 0059 hrs. Mary Dent was cited for a plate light violation by a deputy out of a traffic stop on Scio Rumley Rd. Additional drug paraphernalia charges are pending.
