Local sheriff’s office sends dive team to recover missing park bench from Ohio River

MONROE COUNTY, Ohio – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office recovered a park bench that had been pushed into the Ohio River near Lock 15, thanks to help from a local towing company.

According to Sheriff Derek Norman, the Monroe County Park District reported the missing bench earlier this month. Deputies, along with the Sheriff’s Office dive team and Pine Tree Towing, responded to the scene and successfully located the submerged bench.
