NEW CUMBERLAND, W.Va. — Three homes in New Cumberland will have to be demolished after a late-night fire caused extensive structural damage on Monday.
The blaze broke out at the corner of Lincoln Street and Second Avenue, prompting a massive multi-state response. Fire crews from West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania worked through the night to bring the flames under control.
Despite the intensity of the fire and the level of damage to the structures, no injuries were reported.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire. Demolition of the affected homes is expected to move forward once the scene is fully cleared and assessed.
