Ohio County Paramedics Ask Commissioners for Pay Raise

WHEELING, W.Va. — The Ohio County Professional Paramedics Association has asked county commissioners to approve a pay raise for paid paramedics working with Ohio County EMS.

An association representative told commissioners that paid paramedics have received an average wage increase of 0.89 percent per year over the past six years.

The association said the requested raise is aimed at achieving wage parity with Ohio County sheriff’s deputies.
