WHEELING, W.Va. — Wheeling City Council on Tuesday night approved an ordinance authorizing the hiring of an architectural firm to plan the demolition of buildings at the corner of 14th and Water streets.
Barry and Lisa Allen, former principals of the Ziegenfelder Corporation, have announced plans to build a $60 million development and 122-room hotel at the location. The proposed project would also include space for condominiums and an event center.
