WETZEL / MARSHALL COUNTIES, W.Va. — County Route 4/7 (Hawkey Hill Road) in the Proctor and Whetstone areas will be restricted to one lane beginning Tuesday, January 13, 2026, for a gas line installation project.
The restriction will affect milepost 0.0 to milepost 1.92 in Proctor and milepost 0.0 to milepost 1.32 in Whetstone. The work is expected to continue through early February.
Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Motorists are advised to slow down and expect delays while traveling through the area.
Officials note the project schedule may change due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
