STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — The Jefferson County General Health District is partnering with Adoption Circle to distribute infant car seats to local families next month.
The giveaway will take place on February 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to Jefferson County caregivers who have a child under one year of age and do not qualify for Ohio WIC or Medicaid.
A total of 50 infant car seats will be available and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to those who sign up in advance.
Health officials say the program is aimed at improving child safety and supporting families who may not be eligible for other assistance programs.
