COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio — Prosecutors have filed a response in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court opposing a request for a new trial filed by Spencer Kidder.
Kidder, 72, is currently serving a life sentence without parole after a jury found him guilty in September 2023 on charges of rape, sexual battery, and gross sexual imposition.
In their filing, prosecutors argue Kidder’s petition does not raise constitutional issues that would justify granting a new trial or holding an additional hearing.
