WV Senate Approves Bill Changing How Schools Measure Instructional Time

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — West Virginia’s Senate has passed Senate Bill 890 and sent it to the House of Delegates for consideration.

The bill would change the way school instructional time is measured, switching from days to hours. Counties would still have the option to continue measuring in days if they choose.

If approved, the measure is set to take effect during the week of July 20–27.
