BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio — Belmont County Sheriff James Zusack said an extensive search Saturday ended safely after a 43-year-old military veteran experienced a crisis.
Authorities say the man, who is a double amputee, drove through several yards before abandoning his vehicle on High Ridge Road.
The incident prompted a large-scale search effort involving multiple teams.
Zusack said the veteran was located and taken to receive the help he needed.
