ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — A bomb threat written on a restroom wall prompted the evacuation of St. Clairsville Middle and High schools Friday morning.
Students were evacuated around 11 a.m. after the threat was discovered. Officers from St. Clairsville and Richland Township police departments and the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office responded, and a bomb-detecting K-9 from the Wheeling Police Department searched both buildings.
No device was found. The all-clear was given shortly after 1 p.m., and students were dismissed for the rest of the day.
No suspect is in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
