Public Input Needed for Cambridge City Park Improvement Plan

0

CAMBRIDGE, Ohio — Community members are being asked to help shape the future of Cambridge City Park as city leaders roll out a comprehensive improvement plan and seek public feedback.

The City of Cambridge, in partnership with the Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association (OMEGA) and the Cambridge Park Board, has developed a plan aimed at enhancing one of the area’s most popular outdoor spaces.

Proposed upgrades outlined in the plan include improvements to the park pond, the addition of a floating dock, updated walking trails, playground enhancements, a new pavilion, and various infrastructure upgrades throughout the park.

City officials say public input is critical, as community feedback will help strengthen grant applications needed to fund the project.

Residents are encouraged to attend a public comment session scheduled for:

Monday, June 1
4:30 PM
Cambridge Administration Building
814 Wheeling Avenue, Cambridge, OH

Officials say the goal of the project is to continue improving quality of life in Cambridge while creating a park that better serves families, visitors, and future generations.

OMEGA, which supports economic and community development across 10 counties in Eastern Ohio, is assisting with the planning process.

For more information, residents can contact OMEGA Community Development & GIS Specialist Corinna Kerns at ckerns@omegadistrict.org or 740-213-7039.

City leaders are encouraging everyone to take part.

“Your voice matters as we work to make Cambridge an even better place to live, work, and play.”
