Monarchs Advance to State Quarterfinals with Dominant 14-0 Victory

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The Monarchs are moving on in the state softball tournament after a commanding 14-0 win over Robert C. Byrd in postseason action.

The Monarch offense was led by Masyn Inclan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, recording two doubles, a triple, and three RBIs in an outstanding performance.

In the circle, Lily Dijkstra was equally impressive, tossing a one-hit shutout to keep Robert C. Byrd off the scoreboard and secure the victory.

With the win, the Monarchs advance to the WVSSAC State Quarterfinals, where they will face the winner of the Keyser vs. Point Pleasant matchup.

First pitch for the quarterfinal game is scheduled for 9 a.m. tomorrow.

The Monarchs continue their quest for a state championship after another dominant performance on both sides of the ball.
