WEIRTON, W.Va. — City officials, family members, and community leaders gathered June 1 to celebrate the accomplishments of the 2026 Weirton Youth Council graduating class.
During their time with the program, the 13 graduates worked alongside city officials on projects designed to improve the community through volunteer service, civic engagement, and community events. The program provides students with firsthand experience in local government while encouraging leadership and public service.
City officials praised the students for their dedication, commitment, and willingness to give back to their community, noting that the future of Weirton is bright with young leaders such as these stepping forward.
