BENWOOD, W.Va. — Hundreds of people packed Undo’s in Benwood on Wednesday night hoping to walk away with a life-changing jackpot during the restaurant’s ongoing Queen of Hearts drawing.
The prize pool had reached approximately $330,000 ahead of the drawing, drawing an estimated crowd of around 500 people to the popular weekly event.
Participants must be present at the drawing to claim the jackpot, a requirement that has helped fuel growing attendance as the prize continues to increase.
Despite the large turnout, the Queen of Hearts was not selected, meaning the jackpot will continue to grow. Organizers estimate next week’s prize could reach roughly $350,000.
Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the Wheeling YMCA and the Benwood Fire Department.
Organizers say the event was created to bring excitement to the community while supporting local organizations. Tickets are available at Undo’s locations in Benwood and St. Clairsville, as well as Alpha Tavern.
The next drawing is expected to take place next week at Undo’s Benwood.
