SHADYSIDE, Ohio — Pred Task Force says they traveled to Shadyside, Ohio, to confront a 22-year-old man following an online child predator investigation.

According to the group, James Siburt allegedly communicated with a person he believed to be an underage boy and invited the individual to a local hotel for sexual activity. The organization claims sexually explicit conversations and nude images were exchanged during the online communications.

Pred Task Force said a meeting was arranged but later canceled when Siburt allegedly told the group he was helping his grandfather with outdoor work.

The group stated that members then searched the area, located Siburt, and confronted him in person. According to Pred Task Force, Siburt admitted to the communications during the confrontation and later repeated those admissions to officers with the Shadyside Police Department.

Pred Task Force said it expects criminal charges to be filed as a result of the investigation.

River News has not independently verified the allegations. Any charges would be determined by law enforcement and prosecutors following their investigation.
