CARROLL COUNTY, Ohio — A 16-year-old passenger was killed Tuesday in a single-vehicle crash in Carroll County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:51 a.m. on County Road 52 (Caddy Road), just north of County Road 52A (Camay Road) in Orange Township.
Investigators said an SUV driven by Gage Craig, 18, of Bowerston, was traveling southwest on County Road 52 when it traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch, became airborne and collided with a creek embankment.
Craig suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The 16-year-old passenger, who was from Carrollton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
