WEIRTON, W.Va. — The Weirton Food Truck Festival will return Saturday, Aug. 22, bringing food vendors, a cornhole tournament and other activities to the Weirton Event Center.
The festival will run from noon to 7 p.m. at the Weirton Event Center, located at 3322 East St. Admission is free.
This year’s event is being organized by the Hancock & Brooke Young Professionals, a volunteer-run organization focused on connecting and developing young professionals in the region. Proceeds from the festival will benefit the organization and support its programs and community projects.
Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase food and treats from a variety of participating food trucks throughout the day. The event will also feature a 50/50 drawing and two cornhole tournaments, scheduled for noon and 4 p.m.
Registration for the cornhole tournament is $20 per team. Both tournaments will follow a double-elimination format, with cash prizes awarded to the top three teams in each competition.
Organizers also plan to hold a social period from 4 to 6 p.m., giving attendees an opportunity to meet members of the Hancock & Brooke Young Professionals and learn more about the organization.
The Hancock & Brooke Young Professionals was formed in 2022 with a focus on encouraging young professionals to become more involved in the community and helping develop the region’s next generation of leaders.
The 2026 Weirton Food Truck Festival takes place Saturday, Aug. 22, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Weirton Event Center, 3322 East St. in Weirton. Admission is free.
