BELLAIRE, Ohio — A piece of railroad history is making its way to a new permanent home in Bellaire.
Baltimore & Ohio Caboose No. C-3825 is being moved to the Great Stone Viaduct Plaza, adding another historic feature to the site celebrating the village’s deep connection to the railroad industry.
The arrival of the caboose gives residents and visitors an opportunity to see a piece of Baltimore & Ohio Railroad history up close while visiting one of Bellaire’s most recognizable landmarks.
The Great Stone Viaduct has long stood as a reminder of the community’s railroad past. Bringing Caboose No. C-3825 to the plaza adds another physical connection to that history and preserves it for future generations.
Once in place, the caboose will remain at the Great Stone Viaduct Plaza as part of the site.
For Bellaire, the newest addition is more than a display — it is another piece of the village’s railroad heritage finding a permanent home in the community.
