MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. – A Moundsville teenager has died after a house fire early this morning, according to Tim Rock, Public Information Specialist for the West Virginia Office of the State Fire Marshal.

The fire occurred at a house located on Walnut Avenue in Moundsville around 2 a.m.

The victim, a 16-year-old male, was found deceased inside the home by responding firefighters.

They alerted the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office for an investigation. WVSFMO investigators responded and found that the cause of the fire was undetermined but most
likely accidental in nature.
