Who did it? Local police seeking suspect in armed robbery

WHEELING, W.Va. – The Wheeling Police Department is seeking the suspect in an armed robbery that occurred late Monday night at a business in the Edgwood area of the city

Officers were called to Up on the Lane at the corner of Carmel Road and Edgington Lane just before 10 p.m.

When police arrived, they spoke with an employee who said a white man wearing a blue shirt and a face mask presented a weapon and robbed them. Police say the suspect fled the scene with an unknown amount of money. The employee was not physically injured, according to police.

Police searched the area following the incident and are reviewing nearby surveillance footage as the investigation continues.
