A week’s worth of work scheduled on an I-470 bridge

OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. – The West Virginia Department of Highways issued a traffic advisory for I-470 for maintenance work expected to last one week.

A portion of Interstate 470 eastbound from Ohio to West Virginia will have the right lane closed and the Interstate 470 on ramp from milepost 6.0 (Exit 6) in Ohio, to milepost 2.0 (Exit 2) in Bethlehem, West Virginia, beginning on Wednesday, April 23 through Wednesday April 30 for bridge maintenance.

These closures will be in the evening from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. to minimize the impact of the traveling public. Motorists are advised to follow detour signs, reduce speed, and
expect delays. 

Alternate Routes: Use Interstate 470 westbound to Ohio County Route 214.

Inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances could change the project schedule.
