WEIRTON, W.Va. – The Weirton Police Department, in conjunction with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint to enforce the State of West Virginia’s impaired driving laws on Friday, June 27.
The checkpoint will begin at approximately 7 p.m. and end at approximately 1 a.m.
The sobriety checkpoint will take place on Penco Road in Weirton.
The Weirton Police Department says sobriety checkpoints are announced to comply with Supreme Court rulings.
