MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. — A Moundsville man died Tuesday morning after a utility terrain vehicle crash on Big Wheeling Creek Road, authorities said.
Marshall County Sheriff Mike Dougherty said Ronald A. Stollar, 66, was driving a UTV in the early morning hours when it left the roadway and plunged over a steep embankment. Stollar was ejected from the vehicle and found several yards away, where he was pronounced dead.
The crash was reported to 911 at about 7:32 a.m. Crews located the UTV roughly 200 feet down a hill in the 6400 block of Wheeling Creek Road.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
