IRS Files $8 Million in Tax Liens Against Sen. Jim Justice and Wife

GREENBRIER COUNTY, W.Va. – The Internal Revenue Service has filed liens in Greenbrier County against Republican U.S. Senator Jim Justice and his wife, alleging they owe more than $8 million in unpaid federal taxes dating back to 2009.

According to public records first reported by Politico, the liens were filed on October 2 in Greenbrier County, where the Justices reside. The filings claim years of unpaid tax obligations connected to the couple’s personal finances.

Senator Justice, who previously served as West Virginia’s governor, has faced multiple financial disputes involving his family’s business empire in recent years. The newly filed liens add to a growing list of tax and debt-related issues linked to the Justices and their companies.

As of now, neither Senator Justice nor his representatives have publicly commented on the IRS filings.
