Overnight Fire Causes Extensive Damage at Aspen Manor in Wellsburg

WELLSBURG, W.Va. — The Franklin Volunteer Fire Department in Brooke County responded to a structure fire shortly after midnight at Aspen Manor in Wellsburg as reported on Dimitri! Live & Dangerously Local!™️by Big Willie and Dimitri Vassilaros.

The structure is located at 1500 Bricker Road in Wellsburg.

The Brooke County Emergency Management Agency director told media outlets that no injuries have been reported.

Firefighters faced additional challenges when they discovered no water was available from nearby hydrants. Reportedly, there were privately owned fire hydrants on the road that did not have water running to them. Crews were forced to draw water from the Ohio River to battle the flames. The Wellsburg Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
