Brooke County Man Dies After Apparent Fall From Railroad Bridge

BROOKE COUNTY, W.Va. — A Brooke County man has died after apparently falling from a railroad bridge while trespassing, according to authorities.

Brooke County Sheriff’s deputies located William Fetty, 38, on Tuesday. Deputies were assisting Hancock County authorities, who had been investigating Fetty in connection with items reported missing from his mother’s residence.

Officials say Fetty was trespassing on a railroad bridge when he apparently fell and suffered serious injuries. He was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital, where he later died from those injuries on Wednesday.
