Wheeling Police to Host Monthly Downtown/Centre Market Crime Watch Group

WHEELING, W.Va. — The Wheeling Police Department will host a monthly Downtown/Centre Market Crime Watch Group for businesses in the Downtown and Centre Market areas.

The first meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 4. Future meetings will be held on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at Wheeling Police Headquarters, 2115 Chapline Street.

The meetings are designed for business owners and managers, focusing on crime prevention and public safety issues affecting commercial districts.

These meetings are not intended for residents. Residents are encouraged to participate in Neighborhood Crime Watch meetings, which will resume in March, and are designed to address concerns specific to residential neighborhoods.
