West Virginia man arrested after group notifies authorities of alleged child pornography materials

Hancock County, W.Va. – The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office announced that today, April 3, Victor Shreves, 65 years of age, was placed under arrest for four (4) felony counts of Soliciting a Minor Via Computer, and two (2) felony counts of Distribution and Exhibiting of material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

This investigation started with Shreves coming to the attention of Big Country’s Predator Exposure Group on March 22nd, 2025. This exposure led to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office conducting a search warrant on the residence of Shreves on this same date.

Four (4) cellular phones and four (4) personal computers were seized during the execution of the search warrant. After a forensic download of the electronics, evidence was seized that led to six (6) charges.

Shreves was arraigned at the Hancock County Magistrates Office and is currently being held at the Northern Regional Jail, in Moundsville, West Virginia with bond set at $190,000.00.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office thanked Big Country Predator Exposure and Exposing Predators of Innocent Children and the New Cumberland Police Department for their assistance with this case.
