ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio – History was made last month when Monroe Central High School’s boys ‘basketball team clinched its first-ever state championship. The Seminoles defeated Marion Local High School to capture the Ohio Division VI title, bringing pride and excitement to their school and community.
This was the first time in 82 years that an Ohio Valley boys’ basketball team has captured a state championship title.
To celebrate this monumental achievement, Ohio Valley Mall will host a Champions Rally on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 10:30 AM in the Boscov’s Court. The public is invited to join the team, their coaches, family, friends, and supporters in a spirited celebration of their success.
Adding to the festivities, the Cafaro Foundation will present a special donation to Monroe Central High School to support its ongoing educational mission.
