Benefit scheduled for Steubenville Police Officer’s Infant Son Battling Illness

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — Local police and community members are gathering to support Steubenville Police Officer Joel-Michael Recznik and his family as his infant son battles a heart condition.

Recznik and his wife recently welcomed the birth of their son, Eli, who was born with a heart condition requiring extended hospital stays.

To support the family, the Steubenville Police Department, in partnership with 7 Ranges Entertainment, is hosting a fundraising night. A portion of all food and game pass sales will be donated to the Recznik family.

The event will take place on Thursday, August 21 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 7 Ranges Entertainment, 100 Mall Drive, Steubenville. Attendees must present the event flyer or a photo of it to a server at the time of purchase. All arcade cards must be purchased at the redemption desk.

For more information, contact the Steubenville Police Department at 740-283-6000, ext. 2503.

This fundraiser aims to help cover medical expenses and provide support during Eli’s ongoing care
