Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Arrest, Local Sheriff Says

MONROE COUNTY, Ohio — Monroe County Sheriff Derek Norman announced Monday afternoon that deputies with the Monroe County Criminal Interdiction Unit arrested a Hannibal, Ohio woman following a traffic stop tied to an ongoing drug investigation.

The arrest occurred on Sunday, September 14. Deputies stopped a vehicle driven by Malina M. Ball, 37, of Hannibal, and during the stop, located several covert lock boxes, drug paraphernalia, baggies, and powdered substances, including suspected methamphetamine, inside the vehicle and on Ball’s person.

Ball was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Monroe County Jail.

The case remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
