GUERNSEY COUNTY, OH — Sheriff Jeffrey D. Paden announced that on September 19, Timothy Smith, 51, of Old Washington, was sentenced to 88 months in prison by Guernsey County Common Pleas Court Judge Daniel Padden.
Smith was convicted on two counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, both fourth-degree felonies. Upon his release, he will be required to register as a Tier 1 sex offender for 15 years.
Sheriff Paden said protecting children remains one of his office’s highest priorities. “Safeguarding children in this community remains a top priority as we strive to protect one of the most vulnerable groups from those who may seek to do them harm,” he emphasized.
