BROOKE COUNTY, W.Va. — The West Virginia State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Friday evening in Brooke County.
The checkpoint will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight along State Route 2 near Mahan Lane in Follansbee.
Motorists who wish to avoid the checkpoint may use Mahan Lane for southbound travel or Mark Avenue for northbound traffic.
Officials remind drivers not to operate vehicles while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
