STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — Steubenville Police say they do not suspect foul play in the deaths of two students found inside a vehicle near Franciscan University.
Officers were called to an area near St. Agnes Hall along University Boulevard around midday Monday, where they discovered a man and a woman deceased inside a vehicle.
Franciscan University issued a statement Monday identifying the students as Luke Reimer, 20, of Indian Shores, Florida, and Mary Mich, 20, of Downington, Pennsylvania.
Police say preliminary information suggests the deaths were caused by a malfunction involving the vehicle’s engine or exhaust system. The incident remains under investigation.
