Wheeling Mayor Highlights Development, Announces Housing Task Force in State of the City

WHEELING, W.Va. — Wheeling Mayor Denny Magruder highlighted recent urban renewal efforts during his State of the City address, describing the projects as a foundation for the city’s long-term viability.

Magruder also announced the creation of a Housing Development Task Force aimed at developing strategies to improve and strengthen Wheeling’s housing stock.

The mayor additionally addressed the closure of the city’s exempted homeless camp, saying officials will work alongside social service agencies to develop more effective solutions for individuals experiencing homelessness.
