OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. A section of County Route 40/2 (Springdale Avenue) in Wheeling will be closed from 522 Springdale Avenue to 506 Springdale Avenue for utility work, according to the West Virginia Division of Highways.
The closure will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday, March 23, through Wednesday, March 25, 2026, while crews install a new service line and replace an electric pole.
Motorists are advised to use an alternate route: County Route 15/1 (Park View Road).
Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances may alter the project schedule.
