MARTINS FERRY, Ohio — John Davies says equipment problems within the city’s sanitation department are preventing officials from scheduling a community clean-up day.
According to Davies, ongoing breakdowns and needed repairs have limited the department’s ability to plan the event.
He noted that major repairs to a packer truck recently required additional crews to work overtime, further straining resources.
City officials say they will revisit plans for a clean-up day once equipment issues are resolved.
