WEST VIRGINIA – West Virginia voters have until the end of today, April 21, to register to vote in the May primary election. Eligible voters may also change their party registration ahead of the deadline.
Officials say that, for the first time in recent memory, only registered Republican voters will be permitted to cast Republican Party ballots in the primary. Independent voters will still be allowed to participate in nonpartisan races, including school board elections.
