T. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — A hands-on, family-friendly event showcasing skilled trades and heavy equipment is coming to Belmont County this week.
Belmont College will host its Big Machines Fair on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the college’s CDL Training Lot, located at 68131 Hammond Road in St. Clairsville.
The free, one-day event is open to all ages and aims to introduce attendees to career opportunities in the skilled trades while offering interactive demonstrations and activities.
What Attendees Can Expect
Visitors will have the opportunity to:
- Test driving skills in a CDL simulator
- View commercial trucks up close
- Watch live welding demonstrations
- See heavy equipment in operation during live demos
Local EMS and fire departments will also be on site, showcasing emergency vehicles and providing insight into public safety careers.
Family-Friendly Activities
In addition to career-focused exhibits, the event will include food trucks and activities designed for families, making it an all-day community attraction.
Organizers say the fair is intended for anyone interested in hands-on careers, from students exploring future job paths to residents simply looking for an engaging event in the Ohio Valley.
