CAMBRIDGE, OHIO — A long-running community program focused on keeping kids safe is returning this summer as the Pilot Club of Cambridge announces its Safety Town 2026 event.
The three-day program will take place June 16, 17, and 18, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Garfield Administration Center, located at 518 S. 8th Street in Cambridge.
Safety Town is designed specifically for children entering kindergarten this fall, offering hands-on learning experiences that help prepare young students for real-life situations at home, school, and in their community.
Organizers say the program focuses on building confidence and awareness through interactive lessons, including:
- Traffic and pedestrian safety
- Stranger awareness
- Fire and emergency safety
- And other essential life skills
The Pilot Club emphasizes that the program promotes safety practices through personal involvement, helping children better understand how to respond in everyday situations.
Registration Details
Registration is limited to 30 students, so families are encouraged to sign up early.
Registration will be held at Cambridge City Park, Pavilion #1 (across from the Little League field) on the following dates:
- Thursday, May 21, 2026 | 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday, May 23, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
The registration fee is $20 per child.
