West Virginia Businesses Encouraged to Compete for $1 Million SBA Prize

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — West Virginia entrepreneurs have an opportunity to compete for a share of $1 million in prize money through the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Freedom 250 Patriot Pitch Competition.

The nationwide competition is open to any legally registered and operating business in the United States. The SBA’s West Virginia District Office, along with Secretary of State Kris Warner and the WV One Stop Business Center, are encouraging Mountain State businesses to submit their ideas and showcase their innovation on a national stage.

Participants will submit a short business pitch outlining their company, mission and growth potential. The competition is part of the nation’s celebration of America’s 250th anniversary and aims to highlight small businesses that are driving economic growth and innovation.

The deadline to apply is June 10.

Business owners can find eligibility requirements, competition details and submission information through the SBA’s Freedom 250 website.
