CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Wheeling Central Catholic High School’s football team added another title to its storied program Friday night, claiming its 13th state championship in school history with a victory in the state final at Laidley Field in Charleston.
The win marks another milestone for the Maroon Knights, who capped off a successful season with a championship performance on college football’s biggest stage in West Virginia. Players, coaches, students, and fans celebrated as the team brought home the program’s latest state crown.
