Bellaire Native Plans New Housing Development Aimed at Revitalizing the All-American Town

BELLAIRE, Ohio – Bellaire may return to its roots as an All-American Town with a new housing community which is the brainchild of former resident Donn Sinclair and his wife Kristen, owners of the Sinclair Foundation.

After site preparation, the Sinclair Foundation seeks to build single-story ranch houses worth about $250,000 in the Rose Hill neighborhood.

The Sinclairs learned about the Welcome Home Ohio Program, a statewide housing initiative created by the Ohio General Assembly and administered by the Ohio Department of Development to support community revitalization and expand affordable, owner-occupied housing.

The couple said they learned a lot growing up in Bellaire and want to give back to the community by creating a neighborhood geared for families and grandparents.

So far, the Sinclair Foundation has purchased 14 lots where they plan to demolish blighted properties and put up new homes. Some homes could be available as soon as July, but the entire project is expected to take three years.
