Belmont County Emergency Management Agency Switching Weather Software to Reduce Costs

Belmont County, Ohio — The Belmont County Emergency Management Agency will switch weather tracking software in an effort to save money while improving services.

EMA Director Dave Ivan said the new system from Baron Weather provides expanded capabilities while costing about $3,000 less per year.

County officials say the updated system will help emergency personnel monitor weather conditions more efficiently while reducing overall operational expenses.
