Principal Resigns After Inappropriate Contact Allegations

WHEELING, W.Va. – An administrator with Ohio County Schools has resigned amid reports of inappropriate physical contact with a student.

District officials did not confirm the name of the individual involved. However, the district has posted a job opening for principal at Wheeling Middle School, a position that had been held by Rich McCardle.

Ohio County Schools said it will conduct its own investigation into the matter and will forward its findings to the West Virginia Department of Education.
