Morrisey Faces Deadline on Bills, Including EMS Funding Measure

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Governor Patrick Morrisey has until tomorrow to act on legislation passed during the most recent session of the state legislature.

Among the bills awaiting his decision is House Bill 5168, which would establish a dedicated funding source for EMS organizations in West Virginia for the first time.

Supporters say the measure would provide more stable financial support for emergency medical services across the state.

The governor can choose to sign the bill into law, allow it to become law without his signature, or veto it.
